Become a Steward
By becoming a wilderness steward, you are doing more than just supporting the Friends of the Central Cascades Wilderness. You are helping protect one of our nation’s greatest legacies, the Wilderness Act of 1964. The five wildernesses we focus on comprise a significant portion of Central Oregon’s Cascade Crest. Many of these areas experience intense recreation use. By becoming a steward you can join a community of people dedicated to keeping the Central Oregon Cascade Crest Wilderness areas wild.

Making It All Happen
We try to be as efficient in getting boots on the ground as possible. But this website you are checking out takes effort too, along with identifying and applying for grants. If you are a writer, we could use your help with webpage, social media content and grant writing. Accountant, legal, nonprofit Board experience? Board elections are every April. Good with WordPress? Graphic designer? Talented photographer? We would like your images and layouts for both web and print publication. Skilled with GIS? We have mapping and web mash up projects.
